Holidays at Schütterhof in Ramsau am Dachstein
Our farm is Schütterhof, in a beautiful location on the southern foothills of the Dachstein, in the district Schildlehen in Ramsau am Dachstein. The Schütterhof is surrounded by its own meadows and forests. A 1600 m² garden with barbecue, children’s playhouse, swing, etc. is located south side of the courtyard. From the Schütterhof the hiking trails go directly to the alpine area. Walks on the Ramsauer plateau are characterized by few meters, great views of the mountains and numerous restaurants. For the summer fun, the bathing lake and Ramsau Beach are just a 5-minute walk away.
In winter you can ski directly from the farmhouse to the slope (Zauberlift, Rittisberg) or from the bus stop free of charge to the large ski mountains of the region – Planai, Reiteralm, Hauser Kaibling and Dachstein. The crosscountry trails of Ramsau am Dachstein are also not far away.

The Schütterhof has apartments for 2 – 6 persons, double rooms and family rooms. All rooms are completely furnished and we offer you a breakfast buffet.

Summer vacation in Ramsau am Dachstein
Ramsau am Dachstein is a true adventure land in the Alps. In the north, the plateau is protected by the mighty Dachstein and to the south the view is clear to the Niederen Tauern. The plateau of Ramsau am Dachstein is ideal for walks and easy hikes in fresh and clear air. From the Schütterhof it goes directly to Jungfrauensteig, Roseggersteig and over the ski trail in the alpine region. Enjoyment hikers and mountain bikers meet in front of the impressive south face of the Dachstein in the alpine pastures.
Winter vacation in Ramsau am Dachstein
Glittering snowfields, lots of sunshine and fresh, clear mountain air – winter in Ramsau am Dachstein. The No. 1 in cross-country skiing in Austria. Up to 200 km of trails and winter hiking trails stretch across the plateau. In the cold, clear nights more than 2000 stars sparkle in the sky and in the huts and pastures there are hot mulled wine and Jagatee.

The Schütterhof, already cared for by the Schrempf family in the 4th generation, is an organic farm awarded with 3 *** and 4 flowers. Of course, the appreciation of nature and animals is also reflected in how we deal with people. The guests are cared for individually and lovingly and special wishes of the guests are gladly fulfilled.
The Schrempf’s are a passionate mountaineering and paragliding family. They know the Styrian mountain world like their own vest bag and give professional advice on via ferrata and mountain tours. To catch the right upwind for the paragliding, they know exactly what wind and weather conditions you can enjoy the varied and diverse beauties of nature in and around Ramsau from a bird’s eye view.
The Schütterhof was first mentioned at the end of the 13th century as part of the Schapperlehens “in the Schuet” documentary. Over the centuries, the Schapperlehen with two different properties was run as a unit. Only in 1605 can be found in the court chronicle the note that the property was shared. One part then became the Schäpper or Schüttler, today’s Schütterhof.
In 1889 Anton Schrempf was first registered as owner. In 1928 the farm burnt down almost completely, but it was rebuilt by Anton Schrempf junior. Ernst was the owner of the third generation of the Schrempf family since 1967 and rightly proud of the beautiful organic farm, now run by his son Stefan in the 4th generation.
